Hormipresa, a company specialising in solutions precast concrete, operates in a context where sustainability and energy efficiency have become key factors in the building sector. Increasing regulatory demands, alongside market pressure for industrialised construction solutions with a low environmental impact, have made it essential to have verified and transparent environmental information.

In this context, the development of innovative solutions like the ArcticWall system, they pose the challenge of demonstrating their environmental behaviour throughout their entire life cycle. By integrating structure, insulation and finish into a single element, it is key to communicate their performance clearly and comparably to facilitate their specification in sustainable projects.

The solution

To meet this challenge, Hormipresa developed a Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) specific to its ArcticWall system, which provides a clear and reliable understanding of its environmental impact.

The ArcticWall it is a prefabricated sandwich-type panel that combine the structure, insulation and finish into a single piece, facilitating more efficient constructive solutions that are quicker to implement. Thanks to this design, it offers a high level of energy efficiency and a long service life.

The DPA, developed in accordance with PCR UNE-EN 16757:2023, it analyses the product's behaviour throughout its entire life cycle, from manufacturing to its end of life, also including transport, installation and its use in the building.

The study has been carried out using real production data and has been verified by an independent entity and registered in the scheme DAPcons, guaranteeing its reliability and recognition in the market.
